Since its inaugural production of 12 Angry Jurors in 1999, the Lawyer Play has grown into a significant event in Ottawa’s legal social calendar. Over the past 25 years, more than 300 lawyers, law students, paralegals, judges, and magistrates have come together to perform, selling over 20,000 tickets and securing sponsorships that have raised more than $1.8 million for GCTC and various local charities.

This year is extra special as it marks the 25th anniversary of the Lawyer Play! Our 2025 charity partner is Cornerstone Housing for Women, Ottawa’s largest emergency shelter and supportive housing provider for women and gender-diverse people.

This year’s play is William Shakespeare’s As you like it, and the gala nights are May 1, 2 & 3, 2025.
